Taliban Spokesman: 'We will Attack ... [the U.S. Embassy in Kabul] in the Future As Well'; Qatar-Based Taliban Political Office 'will Serve the Jihadist Interests, Guarantee the End of Occupation, and Bring Security to Afghanistan'

A spokesman of the Islamic Emirate (the Taliban's shadow government) has warned that the September 13, 2011 attack on the U.S. Embassy and NATO headquarters in Kabul was not the last such attack, and that in future they will be targeted as well.

In an interview, Qari Yousuf Ahmadi also avoided answering a question about Iran's role in providing the Taliban with improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and stated: "Yes, we acknowledge that we have made developments, with the grace of God, in the making of IEDs that have defeated the Americans and their allies, and we will further develop this, God willing."

Ahmadi, who reiterated the overarching message of jihad, also did not clearly state that the Taliban will not host Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan in the future, and merely stated that Al-Qaeda and other Islamic organizations have found new places, in the Arab countries which experienced recent popular uprisings. ...
