The Middle East Crisis Part X - Sheikh Omar Bakri on Unrest in Muslim Countries: "We All Have a Role To Play, Which Is... 'Fard' [Obligation] Of the Jihad – Verbally, Physically, Or Financially"

The Islamic website Izharudeen, which is affiliated with salafi Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad, has published the transcript of Omar Bakri's message on the recent unrest in Arab countries. Sheikh Bakri's recorded message was posted on Izharudeen's YouTube channel. In his message, Omar Bakri welcomed the uprising, saying that it will benefit Muslims everywhere, including those in Burma, Chechnya and China. He added that the turmoil in the Middle East will eventually lead to a pan-Islamic state ruled by shari'a. Sheikh Bakri noted that all Muslims have a role to play during this critical era, which is "to carry the daw'ah [call for Islam] and the fard [obligation] of the jihad verbally, physically, or financially..." ...
