Miami imam Dr. Fadi Kablawi responded in his January 19, 2024 Friday sermon at Masjid As Sunnah An Nabawiyyah North Miami, which was streamed live on Facebook, to backlash from a sermon in which he referred to "the tyrannical Jews" (see MEMRI TV clip number 10728). He said that his office has been "hammered" with threatening telephone calls from "lowlife people" and that they left false reviews on his website and Google. Kablawi said that "they are going crazy," because he supplicated: "Oh Allah, destroy the tyrant Jews," but that he has no qualms about calling for the destruction of tyrant Christians, Hindus, or Muslims.
Later in the sermon, he said that he opposes a ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinians, that justice will prevail, and that the occupation between "the River and the Sea" will end. Kablawi said that this slogan is not a call for genocide, because most Jews have dual citizenship, from Poland, Romania, Germany, as well as New York, Texas, and Aventura (a suburb of Miami, with a substantial Jewish population). He said that people tell him to go back to where he came from, but that he can only go back if they get out of his country. Kablawi went on to say that for now, the United States is his land, and that the Zionists and the Americans do not own it, as it belongs to Allah.
