On April 4, 2023, a Telegram channel linked to Iran-backed militias in Iraq published a post claiming an IED attack U.S. logistic convoy.

Since the Taliban's takeover of power in Kabul, the Taliban and other jihadi organizations equipped with advanced military resources have gained the ability to carry out attacks outside the borders of Afghanistan, according to an Afghan newspaper.

 

ISIS Syria Province Claims Killing Of Army Officer In Daraa Governorate, First In Area Since August 2022

                 

On April 6, 2023, the ISIS Syria Province claimed it had carried out an attack from the Hauran region in southern Syria. This is the first operation it has claimed in that area since August 2022.

 

ISIS Editorial Discusses Sincere Devotion To Islam As 'Pivot,' 'Compass' Of Jihad In World Divided By Faith

On April 6, 2023, the Islamic State (ISIS) released Issue 385 of its weekly newsletter, Al-Naba'. The issue's feature article, titled "Offering Him Sincere Devotion," concerns the importance of sincere intent in the worship of Allah.

On April 6, 2023, the Islamic State (ISIS) released Issue 385 of its weekly newsletter, Al-Naba'.

 

Syrian Opposition Media Outlet Reports ISIS Arson Attack Targeting Office Of NGO Operating In Al-Hol Internment Camp

On April 10, 2023, a Syrian opposition website published an article claiming that unidentified individuals, believed to be members of Islamic State (ISIS) cells, carried out an attack with Molotov cocktails targeting the office of an NGO which provides support to ISIS female prisoners and children in Al-Hol and Roj internment camps, which are operated by the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

 

Pro-ISIS Channels Incite Hatred Against Jews In Israel, Abroad; Urge Supporters To Share ISIS Official Archival Content That Promotes Lone-Wolf Attacks

On April 4, pro-Islamic State (ISIS) Telegram and Rocket.Chat channels posted inflammatory antisemitic comments following an Israeli raid on the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the same day.

 

Pro-ISIS 'Military Sciences' Telegram Channel Distributes DIY Instructions On How To Build Remote Explosion Detonation Device Using Two-Way Radios, Cell Phones

A pro-Islamic State (ISIS) media outlet published on its Telegram chatbot a link to an English-language DYI guide on how to manufacture a remote bomb denotator using cell phones and two-way radios.

 

Infographic Posted By Pro-ISIS Media Outlet Highlights ISIS Operations In Afghanistan In January-March 2023

On April 5, 2023, a pro-ISIS news agency posted an infographic  in Arabic and English reviewing the organization's operations in Afghanistan during the first three months of 2023.

 

Pro-ISIS Telegram Channel Instructs Operatives In Iraq To Launch Mustard Gas Attack In South Baghdad

On April 7, 2023, " a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) Telegram channel, shared posts instructing the group operatives in Iraq to use mustard gas in attacks targeting Shi'ites.

 

Al-Qaeda In The Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) Releases Photoset Documenting Combat, Civilian Activities Of Fighters In Yemen

On April 10, 2023, Al-Malahem, the media arm of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) released photos that show the activities of the group fighters in Yemen. The photos, which were also incorporated into a video, promote the message of comradeship, suggesting that the group could be seeking potential recruits.

 

Al-Qaeda's Syrian Affiliate Hurras Al-Din Praises Individual Attacks On Jews In Israel, Calls For More

On April 10, 2023, Sham Al-Ribat, the official media outlet of Al-Qaeda's affiliate in Syria, Hurras Al-Din, released a three-page "Statement of Support for Our Brothers and Holy Sites in Occupied Palestine."

 

Al-Qaeda Magazine Warns Of Internal Enemies, Ties With Israel, Promotes Jihadi Poetry, Slavery Of Infidels, Condemns ISIS, Muslim Leaders For Earthquake Response

On April 6, 2023, Al-Sahab, the media arm of Al-Qaeda's central command, released the ninth issue of its flagship "Ummah Wahidah" (One Nation) magazine.

 

Al-Qaeda Affiliate Al-Shabab Releases Video Documenting Graduation of Hundreds Of Fighters From Training Camp Including 'Martyrdom Brigade'

On April 10, 2023, the media wing of Al-Qaeda's affiliate in Somalia, Harakat Al-Shabab Al-Mujahideen (Al-Shabab), released a 20-minute video documenting a ceremony held to mark the end of a training camp for the group fighters.

 

Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) Calls For Jihad In Jerusalem And India As The Only Option To Stop 'Attacks' On Muslims

On April 6, the media arm of Al-Qaeda Central Command, Al-Sahab, published a statement issued by Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) regarding what it perceived as provocative acts by Israeli authorities and Hindus against Muslims in Jerusalem and India.

 

Syrian Kurdish Group Ansar Al-Islam Claims Attack Against 'Iranian Operations Room' In Latakia, Syria, Amid Reports That Al-Qaeda Affiliate Hurras Al-Din Took Part

On April 7, 2023, Ansar Al-Islam, a Kurdish jihadi group active in Syria, claimed that its fighters had, on the same day, carried out, a raid against an "Iranian operations room" in the Jabl Al-Akrad area of northeastern Latakia, killing at least five officers and wounding several soldiers.

 

Telegram Outlets Linked To Iran-Backed Militias In Iraq Report Rocket, Drone Attack On Gas Field In Syria Housing U.S. Forces

On April 10, 2023, Telegram channels linked to Iran-backed militias in Iraq reported that the U.S. base located in the Conoco natural gas field in the Syrian governorate of Deir Al-Zour was hit by multiple rockets.

 

Syrian Opposition Website: Iranian Backed Militia Received Shipment Of Anti-Aircraft Missiles To Al-Bukamal In Syria

On April 12, 2023, the Syrian opposition website Euphrates Post reported that the Syrian backed-IRGC 47th regiment militia received a shipment of missiles in the city of Al-Bukamal in eastern Deir Al-Zour.

 

Following Al-Aqsa Incidents, Lebanese Hizbullah Vows To Support Palestinians 'In Every Step,' Telegram Outlets Affiliated With Iran-Backed Iraqi Militias Celebrate Launch Of Rockets From Lebanon

On April 6, 2023, several Telegram channels affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq shared posts praising the rocket attacks against Israel and vowing that attacks will continue to include other areas in Israel beyond Galilee area.

In its latest audio bulleting "Pasoon – 15," Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP, or the Movement of the Pakistani Taliban) says several jihadi groups have joined the TTP from different regions of Pakistan, including Punjab and Sindh provinces.
