On July 28, 2023, the leader of Yemen's Ansar Allah, a.k.a. the Houthis, Abd Al-Malik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, delivered televised remarks in which he addressed recent demonstrations involving Quran burnings in Sweden and Denmark.[1] Al-Houthi's remarks came as part of commemorations of the Ashura holy day in Yemen. Large-scale precessions were held across the country, including in Sana'a, Sa'ada, Hajjah, and elsewhere, to mark the occasion.[2]

"Jewish Lobby" Orchestrates Quran Burnings, To West's Detriment
In his remarks,[3] Al-Houthi accused the "Jewish lobby" of orchestrating the Quran burnings in Sweden and Denmark as part of its war on Islam. "What the Jewish lobby is doing in Western countries in terms of burning and tearing up the Quran is the height of unbelief and an act of aggression against Islam and Muslims," he declared.

Indeed, according to Al-Houthi, the "Jewish lobby" is manipulating Western countries to serve its ends, destroying them in the process. As such, he advised Western societies to "liberate themselves from the slavery of the Jews and return to the divine message" before the Jewish lobby "pushes them to the abyss, where they will reap Allah's wrath and torment."
U.S. Promotes "Heinous Immorality And Homosexuality" In Order To "Subjugate And Enslave Humanity"
Under the alleged influence of the Jewish lobby, Al-Houthi further noted that the U.S. promotes "heinous immorality and homosexuality" – which he described as "the culmination of the path of America and the West" – aimed at "diverting human societies from Allah's guidance and messengers in order to subjugate and enslave humanity."
The Islamic ummah today faces "tyranny, evil, and Yazidi criminality[4] represented by the Jewish lobby, America, and its allies," he warned, noting elsewhere: "The sons of the Islamic ummah must take a firm and serious stance which rises to the level of responsibility toward the enemies for their abuse of the Holy Quran."
