On May 23, 2013, the Hamas-affiliated website Filastin (felesteen.ps) posted an article by one of its regular columnists, Dr. 'Issam Shawer, who misrepresented a statement by Israeli MP Moshe Feiglin in order to allege that the "Zionist claim" of six million Holocaust victims is fraudulent. Shawer also called to ban Palestinians from "participating in activities that support the false Zionist account of the Holocaust."
The following are excerpts from his article:[1]

"Moshe Feiglin, an extremist Jew and a secretary [sic] of the Israeli Knesset, demanded to establish that President Yasser Arafat had been responsible for the murder of more Israeli citizens and Jews than Hitler.[2] This statement, though extremist, [serves to] disprove the Jewish claim about the Holocaust and the extermination of six million Jews. According to Israeli sources, the number of [Israeli soldiers] who died in the wars between the Israeli occupation and the Arab countries does not exceed 30,000. If we assume, for the sake of the argument, that Arafat was responsible for all of these deaths, it proves that Hitler did not kill six million Jews or even hundreds of thousands. This is a fact we accept as true and which requires no proof. What does require rational proof is the claim that six million Jews were [indeed] murdered [in the Holocaust].
"On May 21, imams from Muslim countries, including Palestine, held a prayer in front of the so-called "Wall of Death" in Auschwitz, Poland. According to news agencies, one of those present was an imam from Ramallah, and he was holding back tears because, as he said, it was difficult [for him] to see that so many people had been murdered for no reason. This imam is not the first PA figure to visit Auschwitz, nor will he be the last.

"The U.S. State Department encourages these visits, and huge funds are spent on Muslims who purport to speak in the name of [all] Muslim sheikhs, imams and religious scholars in order to deceive others. Had these people been patriots, and had they identified with the [Palestinian] cause, they would not have wept in front of that Jewish stage. The PA must ban Palestinians from participating in activities that support the false Zionist account [of the Holocaust] at the expense of our Palestinian people and our Palestinian cause, and should punish those [who do so].
"We are witnessing two contrasting scenes: a Jew desecrating Muslim graves, and a Palestinian laying flowers and shedding tears over fake Jewish graves. A person like [the latter] is not worthy of the name 'Palestinian.'"
