In an article following the October 7, 2023 attacks by Hamas in Israel, Pakistan's Urdu-language daily Roznama Jasarat published an antisemitic article promoting the Quranic narrative of Jews as traitors, heretics, cruel and cunning people, and the killers of prophets. It listed in which years various European nations expelled Jews for their "evil deeds."
"It should be understood that the Jews are rebels against Allah, killers of the prophets, brutal, beasts, crooked-hearted, traitors, heretics, and stone-hearted people. In the Holy Quran, there is a mention of Allah's favors on this nation, as well as Allah's punishments for the Jews who broke their covenant with Allah," columnist Mir Afsar Amaan wrote in his piece, titled "When Were The Jews Expelled?"
Roznama Jasarat, which is owned by Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, published another article arguing that "The Jews are not the original inhabitants of Palestine" and that "They entered this region almost 1,300 years before Christ and expelled the ancient Palestinians from here and occupied their land." The article, titled "A Hundred Years Ago," is written by Javed-ur-Rehman Turabi. It is notable also for mentioning that Muhammad Iqbal – the national poet of Pakistan who conceived of the notion of founding a new Islamic state out a portion of India, leading to the establishment of Pakistan in 1947 – visited Jerusalem at the invitation of Mufti Amin Al-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem who had aligned with Hitler.

"The Jews Want To Expel The Entire Palestinian Population From Palestine And First Occupy The Whole Of Palestine Then Seize Control Over Muslim Governments In The Surrounding Area To Create Greater Israel"
"Before discussing the subject, it should be understood that the Jews are rebels against Allah, killers of the prophets, brutes, beasts, crooked-hearted [ones], traitors, heretics, and stone-hearted people. In the Holy Quran, there is a mention of Allah's favors on this nation, as well as Allah's punishments for the Jews who broke their covenant with Allah.
"According to the Quran, the Jews disobeyed Allah twice and Allah punished them twice. Allah has reprimanded this nation for its misdeeds. It had been around for 2,000 years. Then the Christians, in enmity toward the Muslims, settled them in Palestine under the Balfour Declaration. "Instead of taking revenge on Hamas militants [after the October 7 attacks], Israel launched attacks to end the unarmed population in Gaza by implementing its previous atrocities, firing missiles and destroying residential buildings, hospitals, schools, the United Nations facilities, killing more than 50 journalists, and annihilating media offices and the entire civilian population. Fifty thousand Palestinians were martyred or injured. The majority of them children. Entering Gaza with the force of tanks and armored vehicles to release their prisoners and eliminate Hamas, but despite the oppression, they could not free even one of their prisoners from Hamas. And nor could they eliminate Hamas.
"Instead, they gave up and agreed to a four-day ceasefire. They agreed to the release of 50 of their prisoners in exchange for 150 Palestinian prisoners. The Christian rulers of the whole world are helping Israel in this brutality. But the justice-loving people of those very countries are protesting against the brutality of Israel and are supporting Hamas...

"The Jews are not the original inhabitants of Palestine. They entered this region almost 1,300 years before Christ and expelled the ancient Palestinians from here and occupied their land. In the following centuries, the Jews were expelled from Palestine several times and their temple Sulaimani [Solomon's Temple] was also destroyed. During their time in exile, no one in Europe treated them well.
"It was the Muslims who supported them. Especially, because of the kindness of the Muslim rulers of Andalusia [Spain], the Jews were very happy and lived a life of peace and contentment for a long time in Andalusia. Then after the Fall of Granada [in 1492], when the Christians expelled them from there, once again they could not find safety anywhere. At such a time, the Ottoman Turks gave them shelter. The Jews acknowledge the kindness of Sultan Selim I [who ruled the Ottoman Empire from 1512 to 1520], who discovered the site of the Wailing Wall [in Jerusalem] and cleaned it, allowing the Jews to go there and mourn.

"In 1916, they appealed to Britain to support Zionism. Britain accepted this request in the form of the Balfour Declaration. At the end of World War I, Great Britain violated all the promises made to the Arabs and occupied Palestine. With the support and patronage of the British, Jews were migrating from all over the world, arriving in Palestine and occupying the lands of the Palestinians under various pretexts and by force as 'settlers.'"

"During his visit to England in 1931, wherever he had the chance, [Pakistani Islamist and national poet] Allama Iqbal did not refrain from speaking well of Palestine. For example, on one occasion he urged the British to pursue justice with the people of Palestine and said that the Balfour Declaration should be completely scrapped. The sensitiveness and importance of the Palestine issue became more clear to Allama Iqbal when he himself travelled to Palestine.
"Bazm Iqbal Director Dr. Tahsin Firaqi, while welcoming Dr. Waheed-ul-Zaman Tariq [presumably at a seminar], said that Allama Iqbal was an orthodox and true Muslim. He was a Sufi man; his poetry is based on Quranic verses. His poems are priceless. A press release by Iqbal on the issue of Palestine, correspondences with [Margaret Milne McConnachie] Farquharson, the leader of the British National [Political] League, the letter of October 1927 to the Quaid-e-Azam [Muhammad Ali Jinnah, later the founder of Pakistan] are related, and Iqbal's couplets are related [to Palestine]:
"This miracle of the Pyre of the Church is that,
"It has illuminated thoughts with electric lamps;
"But my heart yearns for Syria and Palestine...
"At the invitation of Mufti Amin Al-Husseini, Allama Iqbal's ten-day stay in Bait-ul-Muqaddas and his practical struggle for Palestine as the vice president of the Islamic World Conference were also mentioned [at the seminar]; and he [Dr. Tahsin Firaqi] also said, I am afraid that the history of Palestine will repeat itself in India. The dream of Pakistan was seen by Allama Iqbal which is reflected in his poetry in the form of couplets. The problems of the Muslim Ummah that he pointed out at that time are being seen today.
"Allama Iqbal was also a Wali Allah [a spiritual representative of Allah, for example, a Sufi mystic] who was very close to the realities of nature. Allama Iqbal also explained the solution to the problems faced by the Muslim Ummah in his poems, which must be sought and found. Therefore, there is a further need to illuminate the theories and ideas of Iqbal at the [Pakistani] governmental level so that the correct direction for the new generation can be established."
