The official Urdu-language website of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA, i.e., the Afghan Taliban) published an article lamenting the failure of the United Nations and the Islamic countries to intervene in Gaza. The article, titled "The Brutality Of The Zionist Regime On Gaza And Rafah And The Criminal Silence Of The World," is written by one Sohaib Samangani.

Following is the text of the article:[1]

"For The First Time, Israel's Aggressive Policies Came To An End And The Israeli Leadership Began To Think Seriously About Its Defense And Security"

"A fierce war has been going on for eight months between the innocent Muslims of Palestine and the Israeli usurper government. Hamas, a movement fighting for the independence of the Palestinian nation and Bait-ul-Muqaddas, launched heavy attacks on Israel on October 7 in the name of Al-Aqsa Storm, by land, air, and sea, causing irreparable damage to Israel.

"Hundreds of Israeli soldiers were killed in the attacks, and hundreds more were captured alive by Al-Qassam Brigades. Hamas's defensive actions to break the long siege by Israel gained the world's attention for safeguarding the country's freedom, Islamic values, and dignity. Thus, for the first time, Israel's aggressive policies came to an end and the Israeli leadership began to think seriously about its defense and security.

"After the Hamas attacks, the Israeli aggressors carried out heavy airstrikes on Gaza. Since then, this process has been continuing till date. Israel used all resources and modern weapons of genocide of the Palestinians.

"After Gaza, the usurper Zionist government launched a massive attack on Rafah. Rafah is a city near the Egyptian border where more than 150,000 Palestinians have migrated because of the attacks of the occupying Israeli forces. In these attacks, 35,000 Palestinian Muslims have been martyred, around 70,000 have been injured, millions have been left homeless and most of Gaza City has been destroyed."

"The Role Of Some Islamic Countries And The United Nations In This Regard Is Extremely Shameful"

"However, the world has not only demonstrated irresponsibility against Israeli aggression but also some countries and organizations, including those proclaiming themselves as champions of human rights like the United States, have expressed unwavering support for Israel and criticized Hamas's struggle for freedom and liberty with a biased stance.

"The role of some Islamic countries and the United Nations in this regard is extremely shameful. There are approximately 60 Islamic countries in the world, and some of these countries possess modern weaponry, organized military capabilities, and strong economic power. However, none of these countries have made a concerted effort for the liberation of the First Qibla [i.e., Jerusalem], nor have they supported the organizations fighting for this cause.

"After World War II, the United Nations was created to protect international security. But in the recent case, the United Nations has not yet taken a firm stand against Israeli brutality. This reinforces the impression that the United Nations is trying to protect the security and supremacy of the West instead of protecting the security of Muslim countries."
