A French neo-Nazi website, which was inspired by and is modelled on the American "Daily Stormer" forum, posted an article promoting a contest for "Dirty Jew" of the year. An excerpt from the article reads: "The ‘dirty Jew of the year’ contest is underway on the forum; feel free to suggest names and explain what made you believe they are a strong candidate. The election will take place by Christmas 2022!" On the comment thread, several users nominated French political figures. Ukrainian president Zelensky also ranked high. Another nominee was French ultranationalist 2022 presidential Jewish candidate Eric Zemmour, who was defeated in the first round of elections.

A forum user voted for a major French political figure, writing: "just take a look at that filthy face."

Another user wrote: "Choosing just one [Jew] is extremely difficult since they are all dirty."

The leader of the ultranationalist Reconquete party, Eric Zemmour, was also nominated. A user wrote: "Of all the Jews mentioned, Zemmour is the one who lured the greatest number of goyim. For more than 20 years, this Jew succeeded in diverting the gaze of millions of French people from the misdeeds of his co-religionists [the Jews] and from the racial issue."
