April 26, 2024

Every year on April 20, neo-Nazis commemorate the birthday of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. In previous years, extremist groups have held parties and events marking the event, and used the day as an opportunity to spread his ideas and ideology to audiences old and new. The MEMRI DTTM has been reporting on celebrations of the day since 2020.[1]

This year, which marks the 135th anniversary of the celebration, neo-Nazis from Australia, the United Kingdom, Brazil, France, Romania, the United States, and Canada celebrated Hitler's birthday once again, with many baking cakes and holding special events to mark the occasion. Many also used the day to spread quotes from Hitler's manifesto, Mein Kampf, to promote the emergence of a new Hitlerian leader, and to incite fascist revolution.

The following report highlights the celebration of Hitler's birthday by neo-Nazis around the world on April 20, 2024.
