On May 17, 2016, the "Islamic State Technician" Telegram channel, which is pro-ISIS, posted a warning that Telegram users be wary of entities on the platform that are offering supposed hacking lessons while claiming official affiliation with the Islamic State.
The announcement read: "Important warning: some groups on Telegram have publicized a project for training hackers among the [Islamic State] supporters..."
