On August 9, 2022, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) Telegram channel published a post encouraging followers to make use of the technology available to them to wage jihad. It reminded them that even though using the encrypted TOR browser makes download times slower, this is only a minor inconvenience compared to the difficulties faced by earlier jihadi online operatives.
