Reacting to a post published August 14, 2013 by a member of the leading jihadi forum Shumoukh Al-Islam, in which he complained about YouTube's removal of a large number of jihadi videos, online jihadis offered various suggestions to circumvent its removal of videos.
The first suggestion came from the post's initiator, "Batal Fawq Al-Saleeb," Arabic for "Hero Atop The Cross," who attributed YouTube's removal of jihadi videos to the low number of individuals and groups uploading them. Encouraging his fellow members to be diligent and upload them to YouTube, he wrote: "When will we realize that the media war is no less dangerous than the military one, and that [waging] the media war is a duty with which we are charged, as supporters of this religion, until Allah facilitates our migration to the land of glory?"
