On October 17, 2023, a Telegram channel which supports the Iran-backed Shi'ite militias in Iraq reported that its team of hackers managed to penetrate several U.K. and U.S. websites, as part of a cyber campaign to target websites of countries supportive of Israel in its war against Hamas.
