Hamas Military Wing Al-Qassam Brigades Creates New Official Instagram Account Following Removal, Shares Video Showing Jihadi Use Of Drone

A MEMRI JTTM report published November 6, 2017 explored the use of Instagram by Hamas' military wing, the Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades. Several weeks later, the Al-Qassam Brigades' Instagram account was removed from the platform. The group's official website now links to a new Instagram account created on November 24, which, as of this writing, has 116 posts and 330 followers.

In the top left corner of the official Al-Qassam Brigades Arabic-language website, six boxes direct users to official accounts on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

On December 13, 2017, an Instagram "story" from the account shows a militant wearing headgear with a Muvi camcorder.
