On August 24, 2025, an Al-Qaeda supporter published a post saying that a hacker group announced in a statement released on August 22 that it is allegiant to Al-Qaeda. The supporter reported that the cyber group has been active for about a year in pro-Palestinian online campaigns. The statement indicated that the group pledged to operate under Al-Qaeda's banner and the leadership of Sayf Al-'Adl, who is widely assumed to be running the organization from Iran.
