Yemen | Special Dispatch No. 4961

On September 7, 2012, the Yemeni Houthi channel Al-Masira TV aired animated anti-American and antisemitic short films, each under a minute in duration.

The first short depicts a game of Russian roulette played by Uncle Sam, a Jew, and a reluctant and dubious Arab – with Uncle Sam pointing the gun at the Arab's head and the Jew pushing Uncle Sam to tip the odds in their favor by adding additional bullets to the gun. When the gun malfunctions, Uncle Sam accidentally shoots himself, as the word "No" appears on the screen in English and Arabic.

The second short shows the same Arab watering a seed and watching it grow into a plant. The plant is suddenly cut down, and the Arab is pinned against an oil barrel, by knives provided to Uncle Sam by a Jew. As the word "No" appears on the screen, in English and Arabic, the Arab ends up splayed in the shape of a dollar sign against the oil barrel.

Below are images from both film shorts (click here to view this clip on MEMRI TV).
