Special Announcements No. 768

We at MEMRI want to thank all members of the U.S. military, both active duty and retired, for their service.

For over two decades, MEMRI has been assisting all four branches of the U.S. military – Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines – as well as the Pentagon and the Department of Defense, bridging the language gap between the Middle East and the West and publishing primary source translations and original analysis to inform them as well as government, the intelligence community, and law enforcement. MEMRI research also supports and assists military education institutions such as the National Defense University, the U.S. Naval War College, and others, in addition to media, academia, and the general public, so that they may gain a greater understanding of the region. MEMRI projects on monitoring terrorist activity support legislation on Capitol Hill.

MEMRI also publishes translations from the Russian print and broadcast media as well as original analyses, focusing on what Russian officials, media, and think tanks are saying about the U.S., the West, NATO, and other topics. No other organization does the work that MEMRI does.

But MEMRI research is an increasingly costly endeavor. Producing MEMRI TV clips demands advanced technology and extensive human expertise – from monitoring, recording, and reviewing raw programming to translating, captioning, and uploading clips. Please help us today to continue this work.
