Following are excerpts from a sermon delivered by an Egyptian cleric at Tahrir Square, which was posted on the Internet on March 22, 2013.
Egyptian cleric: "Oh people of Syria, rise up today. Do not let any foreigner remain in your country. Kill any armed man you find, in order to avenge the killing of Sheik Al-Bouti.
"Oh Egyptians, beware! If you encounter a Hamas member who supports the Muslim Brotherhood, in any Egyptian province – it is permitted to kill him, because he has violated the sanctity of our country.
"We say to the people of Gaza: Take to the streets in order to topple Hamas. They have killed the [Egyptian] soldiers."

UNWRA Cancels Gaza Marathon Following Hamas Government Demand to Forbid Women from Running

Reporter: "After lengthy negotiations between the Gaza government and UNRWA, the latter announced that the annual Gaza marathon, scheduled for next month, would be canceled. The event has already been held twice in the past two years, but the organizers were shocked when this year, the government imposed 'regulations to preserve women’s modesty, and to prevent their mixing with men.' The government said that the participation of women runs counter to tradition, and was not relying directly on religious justifications."

Michael Hayden: "During my last trip to the Middle East, I met former [Egyptian] President Mubarak. Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman asked me to stay another day in order to meet with Mubarak. So I stayed there on Friday and went to meet the president on Saturday in his palace. For 90 minutes, the former Egyptian president spoke to me harshly about U.S. policies, saying that we Americans did not understand what was going on in Egypt and in the Arab world, and did not understand the Muslim Brotherhood and other issues."
