In a statement, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (the Afghan Taliban jihadi organization which seized power on August 15, 2021) has condemned remarks by American officials that some ministers appointed by the Taliban are on the U.S. blacklist of terrorists and still targets for United States counterterrorism forces.

Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) Claims Four More Attacks On 'Apostate Taliban Militia' In Afghanistan's Kabul, Jalalabad

Following a series of attacks against the Afghan Taliban, the Islamic State (ISIS) affiliate in Afghanistan, known as the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) claimed responsibility for four more attacks in Kabul and Jalalabad in Afghanistan. The attack in Kabul is the first attack in that city since the August 26 suicide bombing at the Kabul airport, which killed more than 180, including 13 U.S. servicemen, and the August 30 Katyusha rocket attack at the airport.

 

Issue 20 Of ISIS Magazine 'Sawt Al-Hind': Bomber Who Killed 13 American Troops At Kabul Airport On August 15 Was Deported From India Five Years Ago

According to a report in the latest issue of Sawt Al-Hind ("The Voice of India"), which is published by the supporters of the Islamic State (ISIS) in the Indian subcontinent, a suicide bomber who took part in the Kabul airport bombing of August 15, 2021, in which 13 American soldiers were among those killed was deported from India five years ago.

 

ISIS Supporters Eulogize Abu Al-Walid Al-Sahrawi, Leader Of Islamic State In The Greater Sahara, Killed In French Airstrike

Following the announcement made on Twitter by French President Emmanuel Macron on September 15, 2021, that France had killed 'Adnan Abu Al-Walid Al-Sahrawi, aka Lehbib 'Abdi Sa'id, the leader of the Islamic State in the Greater Sahara (ISGS), Islamic State (ISIS) supporters eulogized Al-Sahrawi and highlighted his key role in the attacks against French and U.S. forces in the Sahel region.

 

After Taliban Take Over Afghanistan, Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) Escalates War On Taliban, Killing Or Wounding 40 Of Its Members In Two Days

On September 19, 2021, the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) published four statements claiming responsibility for multiple attacks targeting the "apostate Taliban militia" in Jalalabad, eastern Afghanistan, which were reportedly carried out on September 18 and 19.

 

ISIS Claims Killing And Wounding Of 108 People In 46 Operations In Iraq In Two Weeks

On September 16, 2021, the Islamic State (ISIS) released Issue 304 of its weekly newspaper Al-Naba', which includes an infographic claiming that its fighters had carried out 46 operations in Iraq in the last two weeks and killed and wounded 108 people.

 

Islamic State (ISIS) Claims Responsibility For Gas Pipeline Explosion South Of Damascus As Part Of 'Economic War' Against Syrian Regime

On September 18, 2021, the Islamic State (ISIS) claimed responsibility for a September 17 explosion which struck the gas pipeline that connects two power stations.

 

ISIS Weekly Pays Tribute To Slain Military Emir Of Al-Fallujah Province Who 'Spent Three Years In U.S.-Administered Camp Bucca Prison'

On September 16, 2021, the Islamic State (ISIS) released Issue 304 of its weekly newspaper Al-Naba', which paid tribute to one of ISIS's key commanders in Iraq. Titled "The Story of A Martyr," the full-page article highlighted the bravery of Abu 'Umar Al-Khalifawi, "the military emir of Wilayat [province] Al-Fallujah in Iraq."

 

Article In Issue 20 Of ISIS Magazine 'Sawt Al-Hind': '[Maldivian Secularists] Also Prohibited Marriage At A Young Age, While It Was Made Recommended And As A Beloved Act In Islam'

An article in the latest issue of Sawt Al-Hind ("The Voice of India"), released by the supporters of the Islamic State (ISIS) in the Indian subcontinent, accuses the secularist factions in the Maldives of digressing from Islam and, among other things, banning marriage with young girls, which the magazine says is recommended in Islam.

Pro-ISIS Posters Threaten Egypt's Sisi, Urge Sinai Residents To Wage Jihad Against 'Protectors Of Jews'

On September 21, 2021, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) outlet released several posters threatening Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and the Egyptian Army and urging the people of Sinai to wage jihad against them for collaborating with the "Zionist enemy" and allowing Israel to carry out airstrikes targeting ISIS fighters in the Sinai Peninsula.

 

Jihadi Ideologue Abu Muhammad Al-Maqdisi Advises Al-Qaeda And ISIS To Declare They Are Not Active In Afghanistan, Cites Bin Laden's Initial Disavowal Of 9/11

On September 17, 2021, Jordan-based Salafi-jihadi ideologue Abu Muhammad Al-Maqdisi posted two Tweets advising terrorist organizations such as Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State (ISIS) to declare that they have no presence in Afghanistan in order to alleviate Western pressure on the Afghan Taliban and allow the group to consolidate its power.

 

Leader Of Al-Qaeda's Syrian Affiliate Hurras Al-Din Renews Call To Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) To Accept Shari'a Arbitration To Resolve Disputes

On September 12, 2021, the leader of the Al-Qaeda affiliate in Syria Hurras Al-Din released a statement highlighting the one-year anniversary of the detention of a group of Hurras Al-Din's members held by the Syrian jihadi group Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) and renewing his group's call to HTS to accept a Jordan-based jihadi cleric as an arbitrator to resolve the disputes between the two groups.

 

Jihadi Channels On Telegram Report At Least One Hurras Al-Din Commander Killed In U.S. Drone Strike Near Idlib

On September 20, 2021, jihadi Telegram channels reported that a U.S. drone targeted two commanders of Al-Qaeda's affiliate in Syria, Hurras Al-Din, on the road between the towns of Binnish and Idlib in the Idlib countryside.

 

Supporter Of Al-Qaeda Affiliate Hurras Al-Din Responds Forcefully To Accusations By Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS): HTS Is Responsible For Dividing And Weakening Syrian Rebels

On September 17, 2021, a Syria-based pro-Al-Qaeda Telegram channel published a series of posts titled "Between Hay'at [Tahrir Al-Sham] and Hurras [Al-Din]: A Black History under the Microscope."

 

Al-Shabab Claims Responsibility For Blast That 'Completely Destroyed' Central Somalia's New Hiran Airport On Day Of Its Inauguration

On September 19, 2021, Shahada News Agency, the media arm of Al-Qaeda affiliate Harakat Al-Shabab Al-Mujahideen (i.e., Al-Shabab), claimed in a statement shared on Telegram that the group's fighters had completely destroyed the Buluburde airport in Hiran province, which is in central Somalia. The airport had been due to be inaugurated that same day.

On September 15, 2021, On The Ground News (OGN), a news agency owned by a U.S.-born jihadi reporter, shared a statement in Arabic and English released by the family of a French jihadi who has been held by Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) since August 2020.

On September 19, 2021, On The Ground News (OGN), a media outlet run by a Syria-based American jihadi reporter, posted an exclusive interview on YouTube with the mother of a French jihadi who is being held by the Syrian jihadi group Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS).

 

Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) Clerics And Supporters Accuse Al-Qaeda Affiliate Hurras Al-Din Of Extremism And Spreading Chaos, Reject Its Leader's Call To Submit To Arbitration

On September 15, 2021, a message by the leader of Al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate Hurras Al-Din was published on Telegram. The message repeated the call for Syrian jihadi group Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) to resolve its ongoing disputes with Hurras Al-Din via the arbitration of a shari'a court, and proposing a Jordan-based jihadi cleric as a possible mediator.

 

Uzbek Commander Reportedly Defects From Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) And Joins Caucasian Group Headed By Muslim Al-Shishani

On September 14, 2021, an anti-Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) Telegram channel noted reports that an Uzbek HTS commander had left the jihadi group together with his men and joined the Junoud Al-Sham jihadi faction, headed by Chechen commander Muslim Al-Shishani.

 

Telegram Channel Affiliated With Iran-Backed Militias In Iraq Accuses Senior American UN Officer In Iraq Of Being 'Israeli Agent'

On September 19, Sabereen News, a Telegram channel affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq, shared a post accusing Hilary B. Stauffer, head of the Reporting, Policy and Strategy Unit in the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Iraq, of being an Israeli agent.

 

Iran-Backed Militias In Iraq Continue To Question Integrity Of UN American Officer, Accuses Her Of Implementing 'Israeli Agenda' Ahead Of Iraq's Elections

Ahead of Iraq's upcoming general elections due to take place on October 10, 2021, and which the United Nations said that it plans to monitor to prevent voter fraud, Telegram channels affiliated with Iran-backed militias continued their smear campaign, sharing content to taint the credibility of the organization.

An English Pro-Taliban Twitter Account Posts A Song Pledging To Liberate Palestine

On September 16, 2021, Talib Times, a Twitter account that identifies itself as an "official account for Islamic Emirate Afghanistan" shared a video clip suggesting that Taliban fighters are the only hope to liberate Palestine.
