EXCLUSIVE: How ISIS Branded Ramadan As The Month Of Jihad

While the holy month of Ramadan is of undeniable importance in Salafi-jihadi ideology, being rooted in the Quran and in the Muslim tradition, the Islamic State (ISIS) has come to place special emphasis on the month, as is evident in the group's media output.
On July 13, 2021, the Taliban issued a statement commenting on Turkey's proposal to leave some 500 troops at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul to secure foreign diplomatic missions after the remaining NATO forces leave.

On July 14, 2021, a pro-Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) Telegram channel shared an article addressing the escalating tension between jihadi foreign fighters and HTS following the latter's warning that members of foreign jihadi groups should join its ranks or leave Idlib.
