As a reader of MEMRI, you are familiar with our continuing efforts to monitor more media sources in more countries, research more subjects, and translate into more languages. In our previous emails to you, we've highlighted how your generous donation will help support MEMRI's work in bridging the language gap between the West and the Middle East and in producing primary source translations and unique analyses that enable government, law enforcement, legislative bodies, academia, the media, and the public to gain a more in-depth understanding of the complexities of the Middle East and South Asia.
This year alone, MEMRI research has already proven instrumental to members of the media, government, and military. MEMRI provided them with reports on, inter alia: Islamic State (ISIS) online activity, including video clips of its brutality; analysis of events and developments in Iran, particularly in the run-up to the nuclear negotiations deadline and following the announcement of a framework agreement; the ongoing destabilization of Yemen; and a video clip of a Lebanese TV program hostess who cut short an interview with a well-known London-based Islamist when he showed disrespect and made sexist comments. This clip went viral, with 10 million views, and the program hostess became an international sensation.

With your donation, you will help ensure that MEMRI can continue our research efforts, and that our researchers across the world can continue working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week translating hundreds of Arabic, Farsi, Urdu/Pashtu, Dari, Hindi, and Turkish media, TV channels, and online materials including websites and social media. Your donation will allow us to expand our product and surpass over 6,000 print media translations, 1,100 analysis reports, and 4,800 translated TV clips (including more than 18,000 minutes of translated material).
