Neo-Nazi and white supremacists online posted reactions to the bridge's collapse, blaming the crash on the Indian crew of the ship and alleging that if white Americans had been piloting the ship, the crash would not have occurred.

A Texas-based white supremacist comic creator posted a comic on March 26, 2024, on X and Telegram, which has been viewed cumulatively over 1,400,000 times. On his website, he captioned the comic: "Externalized Costs: Succeed or DEI trying." The comic shows two people having a conversation, with one of them saying, "But our economy needs more foreign workers," before the Dali cargo ship crashes into the Key Bridge in the background.
