Iranian ambassador to Afghanistan Hassan Kazemi Qomi said on a February 6, 2024 show on Ofogh TV (Iran) that Afghanistan is part of the "axis of resistance." He added that although Afghanistan is "quite far away from Gaza," if need be, more than one division of martyrdom-seekers can go from Afghanistan to support Gaza.

 Hassan Kazemi Qomi: "Afghanistan is quite far away from Gaza. But what is clear to us today is that Afghanistan is part of the axis of resistance. If there is an opportunity and a need, more than one military division of martyrdom-seekers can go from Afghanistan to support Gaza."
