Houthi Official Abd Al-Wahhab Al-Mahbashi: We Are Developing Missiles That Can Reach Eilat, Israel; Saudi Aggression Forces Us To Target Saudi Arabia Instead

In a November 24, 2020 interview on Al-Mayadeen TV (Lebanon), Abd Al-Wahhab Al-Mahbashi, a member of the Houthi Political Bureau, said that the Houthis are developing missiles that are capable of reaching Eilat, Israel. He added that while the Houthi weapons are intended for use against Israel, they have been targeting Jeddah, Saudi Arabia because of Saudi aggression, attacks, and siege. For more about Al-Mahbashi, see MEMRI TV clips No. 7905 and 6348.

Abd Al-Wahab Al-Mahbashi: "With regard to the targeting of the city of Jeddah – we believe that this missile [of ours] is meant to target Eilat, and not Jeddah, but since the Saudi aggressors continue their suffocating against us in Yemen we are forced to confront this aggression, in order to force Saudi Arabia to stop its attacks against Yemen, and to lift its siege on Yemen. Otherwise, the development and testing of this missile will continue, until we manage to reach deep into Palestinian [territory], and target the Zionist entity on the blessed Palestinian land."
