Tunisian MP Abir Moussi, President of the Free Destourian Party, was physically attacked in parliament by two fellow MPs, while she was protesting the adoption of a deal that would allow an office for the Qatar Fund for Development to be opened in Tunisia. In video footage of the attack that was posted on several online sources on June 30, 2021, she is seen slapped repeatedly by MP Sahbi Samara. After the initial attack, Moussi is beaten again by MP Seifeddine Makhlouf, while she and other party members sing the Tunisian national anthem.
