Syrian Opposition Figure Osama Al-Mallouhi: Israel Wants Al-Assad; It's As If They Want Syrian Blood for Their Passover Matzos

Source: Channel 9/Qanat TV (Turkey)

In a recent TV interview, Osama Al-Mallouhi of the Syrian Rescue Committee repeated antisemitic remarks that he has made in the past. Claiming that "[Israel] exerts pressure on America, through the Zionist lobbies in the U.S. and in Europe, to keep Bashar Al-Assad [in power]," Al-Mallouhi said: "It is as if, in keeping with the Zionist myth, they want Syrian blood for their [Passover] matzos of Zion." The interview aired on the Turkish Qanat/channel 9 on June 3, 2018. Al-Mallouhi made similar statements in 2012 (see MEMRI clip no 3387 Syrian Opposition Member Osama Al-Mallouhi Recounts Antisemitic Blood Libel And Says: Do They Want Syrian Blood For Their Matzos Of Zion?, March 26, 2012).

Dr. Osama Al-Mallouhi: "Israel wants Bashar Al-Assad. It exerts pressure on America, through the Zionist lobbies in the U.S. and in Europe, to keep Bashar Al-Assad [in power]. As I've said before, it is as if, in keeping with the Zionist myth, they want Syrian blood for their [Passover] matzos of Zion.

"The Jordanian regime has never supported the blessed Syrian revolution. The Jordanian regime has turned its back on the great Syrian people, which arose in search of freedom. This is beyond a doubt. We have seen nothing else since the beginning of the revolution. The worst refugee camps... Jordan was forced to absorb refugees, and it received huge funds from the U.N. and from the donor countries, in order to host the Syrian refugees, yet the worse refugee camps are located in Jordan. Jordan is completely running the show (in southern Syria)."
