Spokesman for Iraqi Communist Party Nuri Al-Moradi Eulogizes Abu Mus'ab Al-Zarqawi on Al-Jazeera TV

Following are excerpts from an interview with Nuri Al-Muradi, spokesman for the Iraqi Communist Party, which aired on Al-Jazeera TV on June 6, 2006.

Nuri Al-Muradi: As Allah is my witness, oh Abu Mus'ab, until a month ago, I had doubts about whether you really existed. As Allah is my witness, I have disagreements with your school of thought. This much is clear. But now that you have fallen, a martyr on the land of Iraq, and in defense of the land of Iraq, I say to you, oh falcon, who has soared to the heavens: Oh Abu Mus'ab, you and your comrades, the heroes of Shinar [Babylon], and their supporters, the ababil birds, have proven your bravery. You have rubbed America's nose in the mud. Thanks to you, blessed soldiers, we have come close to liberation. Blessed be those among you who have been killed, and well done to those who await their turn.

Oh Abu Mus'ab, in war some kill and some are killed. Indeed, every soul tastes death, but not every soul tastes martyrdom. Martyrdom is the monopoly of the persevering mujahideen, the heroes of Shinar, Afghanistan, and Palestine, who attack the enemies as humans, angels, and demons, all in one.

Rejoice, oh Abu Mus'ab, you and your friends. May you rest in peace, and may Allah's mercy be upon you. May Allah curse the Talmudic people of Isfahan [i.e., Shiites] and Tarzan [i.e., Kurds], and their masters, the Americans.

As for you, oh heroes of Shinar – just one minute, Dr. Qassem... I say once again: Wherever you may find them - don't give them even one hour to catch their breath. Whoever hears this should say: I respond to the call.
