Hashem Safieddine, head of Hizbullah’s Executive Council, said in Qom, Iran, that Iran has not changed its slogan since the first day of the Islamic revolution: "Death to America." The crowd responded to this by chanting: "Death to America!" Safieddine continued to say that the "axis of resistance" will thwart the Deal of the Century. He added that the response to the Deal of the Century will be more missiles, more "operations," and targeting Zionist soldiers. Safieddine elaborated: "The answer to the Deal of the Century [...] is Jihad for the sake of Allah [...] until Jerusalem and Palestine are liberated." The address was aired on Al-Manar TV (Hizbullah-Lebanon) on February 9, 2020.
Hashem Safieddine: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has maintained the same slogans, the same principles, and the same premises. It has not changed, altered, or replaced them. From the first day of the revolution, its slogan has been 'Death to America.' Today, 41 years later, the Muslim Iranian people is still shouting: 'Death to America.'"

Hashem Safieddine: "We say to America and to Israel: Just like we have taken upon ourselves to expel the U.S. forces from the region, the axis of resistance promises to Allah, to the Palestinian people, and to all the peoples of the region, that it will thwart the Deal of the Century, and Trump will have no 'Deal of the Century' or anything of this sort. The response of the resistance axis will consist of more operations, more missiles, and more targeting of Zionist soldiers and officers across Palestine, Allah willing. This is our answer.
