Senior Hamas Official Mahmoud Al-Zahar: The Jews Have No Right to the Land of Palestine; The Torah is a Fabrication

#644 | 02:17
Source: Al-Manar TV (Lebanon)
The following is an excerpt from an interview with senior Hamas official Mahmoud Al-Zahar, aired on Al-Manar TV (Lebanon) on April 13, 2005:

Mahmoud Al-Zahar: Whether or not (the Jews) had a temple, a temple or not, this temple is the symbol of their religion. Where is their religion now? If their religion existed and was acknowledged, there would be no need to send our lord Jesus. Our lord Jesus came to return these people to the right path and to tell them instructed his prophets to tell them - the sons of Jacob and the others. Therefore, they have no sacred place here, no remnant, and no connection (to the place).

When Omar Ibn Al-Khattab conquered Jerusalem, Father Antonius (sic) gave him the keys to the city, on the condition that no Jews would live near us, because they were corrupt. So this matter is clear.

As for the Torah – everyone knows when it was written. This Torah was written centuries after it was given to Moses. It has innumerable contradictions and matters that even a teenage writer cannot write – matters of sex, and so on. Therefore, it is known to be a fabrication. That's why I say that these people have no right to this land, for they were only created by colonialism and by Arab and Islamic weakness. When the equation is violated… When this equation shifts back to its true state, when the powers are balanced - this issue will disappear. We are convinced that the liberation of Palestine – all of Palestine – from the (Mediterranean) Sea to the (Jordan) River, from Rosh Ha-Nikra to Rafah - is a Koranic truth in which we believe, as sure as I see you on this screen. We believe that Allah will not give them eternal strength or give us eternal weakness. At some stage, we will find a solution to this conflict – a deep-rooted, just and peaceful solution, a comprehensive and permanent solution, not based on compromises, but on an historic decision.
