Fatah Revolutionary Council member Muhammad Al-Lahham said that Fatah is burning like an ember and can "bring out the fire" at any time, despite speculation that Fatah would become weaker after the Oslo Accords. Al-Lahham spoke at a ceremony honoring Fatah terrorist Muhammad Zawahreh, who is serving a life sentence in Israel, which took place on June 29, 2022 and was broadcast on Awda TV (Palestinian Authority). He praised Zawahreh, as well as several other terrorists, including terrorists from recent attacks in Israel. Al-Lahham added that Fatah will continue fighting until it drives the "occupation" out of Palestine. For more information on Muhammad Al-Lahham, see MEMRITV clips Nos. 9562 and 6840.
Muhammad Al-Lahham: "[People said] that after what happened in Beirut, Fatah would become weaker, yet it has risen anew. After Oslo, they said that Fatah would become weaker, but Muhammad Zawahreh, and thousands of heroes like him from the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades came to deliver a message to the occupation, through all the flames that continue to burn under the embers. Fatah is capable, at any time, to bring out this fire from under the embers. Fatah is not operated by remote control. It does not follow instructions, and it does not serve any [foreign] agenda – not that of Tehran, not that of Doha, and not that of Istanbul. [Fatah] is the daughter of this nation, it was born from its womb, and it is the true representative of the condition of the Palestinians.

"Raad Hazem [who carried out an attack in Tel Aviv], Diaa Hamarsheh [who carried out an attack in Bnei Brak], Abu Laila [who carried out an attack in the West Bank] and others have managed to teach the occupation a lesson, and imposed a curfew in the heart of Tel Aviv. This is Fatah! And so it will remain, so that the occupation and the entire world will know that this is Fatah. Fatah will remain Muhammad Zawahreh, and it will remain true to its pledge until it drives out the occupation from our land. We have no alternatives. On this land, it can be either us or... us. It is never either us or them! Either us or us!"
