Qods Force commander IRGC general Esmail Qaani spoke at a Tehran University memorial, marking the one-year anniversary of the assassination of the previous Qods Force Commander Qasem Soleimani, which aired on IRINN TV (Iran) on January 1, 2020. He warned those who "committed the crime" of the assassination of Soleimani, that they have created more work for all the "free people of the world." He said that even in their own homes, there may be someone who will "repay them in kind" for this crime.
Esmail Qaani: "Those who committed this crime should know: They have done something that will [bring rise] to a man, somewhere in the world, who will repay those non-men in kind.

"By perpetrating this crime, you have created work for all the free people in the world. Rest assured that even inside your own house, people may be found that will repay you in kind for your crime."
