Sheikh Muhammad Nimr Zaghmout, the head of the Palestinian Islamic Council in Lebanon, declared Jihad for the “liberation” of the Al-Aqsa Mosque during a July 16 interview on Mayadeen TV. Sheikh Zaghmout said that Jihad has become “an individual duty” incumbent upon every Muslim man and woman.
Muhammad Nimr Zaghmout: First of all, as a Palestinian, a Muslim, an Arab, and a man of the world, I say that the time has come to sound the trumpet of Jihad. From this blessed channel, I am sounding the trumpet of Jihad, saying: Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar, come to Jihad, come to Jihad, come to Jihad.

Jihad is not an individual duty incumbent upon every Muslim man and woman - initially in Palestine and its surroundings, and eventually, all over the world. Jihad is now an individual duty, and men as well as women should embark on Jihad. Everybody should embark on Jihad for the liberation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
