Hizbullah's television channel, Al-Manar, hosted the Mufti of Tripoly, Sheikh Taha Al-Sabonji and Secretary-General of the Islamic Universities' Association, Dr. Ja'far Abd Al-Salim for a discussion about Jews in history. Following are excerpts from the debate:
Sheikh Taha Al-Sabonji: These days we are facing a dangerous attack on many fronts We must block the civil strife caused by the ignorant, the conspirators, the materialists, the atheists, and the Zionists who have been the pinnacle of civil strife throughout history. Those responsible for all civil strife and other problems throughout history were the Jews. This is verified by anyone who has read Jewish literature and history and was also mentioned by all religious writings, especially the Koran.
Dr. Jafar Abd Al-Salim: The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion clearly refer to this: "Spread corruption amongst all human societies so you can rule." This is clear incitement against humanity... All the pornographic films in the world are made by Jewish companies, and the same goes for drugs. All these measures, which influence societies and bring them down, are Zionist measures whose main goal is to humiliate the human race...
Al-Sabonji: And corrupt it...
Abd Al-Salim: Notice that when our lord Joseph distanced himself from corruption he said: "Thou turn away their guile from me I may incline towards them and behave like the ignorant." They want to ignite ignorance among us. The purpose of their use of sex and these phenomena is to weaken human existence, weaken the humanity of Man.
