In a November 14, 2024 interview on IRINN TV (Iran), the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami addressed the possibility of a resolution against Iran by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Eslami warned that Iran would respond immediately and reciprocally if such a resolution is passed. He stated: "We will teach them not to use these tacky measures and worn-out means against us," and emphasized that there is "no turning back from this path" regarding Iran's nuclear program.

Mohammad Eslami: "If they pass another interventionist resolution against us…A draft resolution has been circulating among IAEA board members…Right the British have distributed it informally, and I have seen it. It used to be only half a page, but this time they wrote three pages. If they go through with it, we will have an immediate reciprocal response. We will teach them not to use these tacky measures and worn-out means against us, and not to try and force us to stop our [nuclear] program. There is no turning back from this path for us. Our case is completely clear and transparent. Our [nuclear] program is completely clear. The majority of the program is to produce 20,000 MW of electricity."

Interviewer: "In the past, Iran has always given a technical response to anti-Iran resolutions. Are we continuing on this path?"

Eslami: "Absolutely and immediately. As soon as they read out the resolution and put it to the vote, we will take our decisive action. It will happen before the ink dries on these votes. We have already told them this."
