Lebanese MP Dori Chamoun: Former Lebanese PM Michel Aoun Belongs in a Mental Hospital

#2684 | 01:47
Source: Future TV (Lebanon)

Following are excerpts from an interview with Lebanese MP Dori Chamoun, which aired on Future News on October 10, 2010:

Dori Chamoun: Michel Aoun tends to raise his voice. He tells people: "You should do this and that, or else..." We are familiar with this tome, unfortunately. It is like Hitler in his time, and I look where he led Germany. He is following the same path, and even compared himself to Christ once. In my opinion, we should talk to the people at Dar Al-Salib.

Interviewer: To the psychiatric hospital? What does it have to do with this?

Dori Chamoun: Yes, we should.

Interviewer: What's this got to do with anything?

Dori Chamoun: They should admit him there.

Interviewer: These are strong words, in the political sense...

Dori Chamoun: Let him sue me. I'm willing to pay for a medical committee to examine him.

Interviewer: Today, at least 50% of the Christians support Michel Aoun, and a large part of the Lebanese people believe that his positions strengthen the country, and help the Christians of the East survive...

Dori Chamoun: With all due respect, they all need to be examined as well.
