Iraqi Militia Leader Qais Khazali: The Liberation Of Iraq From American Occupation Is A Step Towards Liberating Jerusalem; No American Soldier Will Be Safe From The Weapons Of The Resistance

Iraqi militia leader Qais Khazali, Secretary-General of Asa'ib Ahl Al-Haq praised the Iranian backed militias' attacks on American bases in Iraq and said that no American soldier will be safe from the weapons of the "resistance factions." Khazali's remarks on the occasion of Iranian Jerusalem Day were aired on Mayadeen TV (Lebanon) on May 5, 2021. He continued to say that the factions will increase the extent of their operations as needed until Iraq is liberated from American occupation. Khazali said that the liberation of Iraq from American occupation is a real step towards liberating Jerusalem from Zionist occupation.

Qais Khazali: "[The Iraqi militias] are carrying out heroic operations against the America bases, knowing – and this is important – that this quantity and quality of operations are not the full extent of the capabilities of the resistance factions at all. Not even close! The capabilities of the resistance factions are much more extensive. [These capabilities] are a lot more than what the American forces currently [in Iraq] can deal with, even if they send the same number [of soldiers] as reinforcement.

"In all honesty, the Islamic resistance factions have enough real men and quality weapons to be able to target the American presence everywhere in Iraq. Not a single American soldier will be safe from the weapons of the resistance.

"But we are not blood-thirsty, and we are not warlords. We are only people who love our country, defend its sovereignty, and we demand to liberate it through the departure of all foreign troops from it.

"We determine the quantity and type of our military operations according to what is needed in order to reach this goal – the quantity [of operations] that is needed to make the American occupation understand that it cannot keep up its military presence -in Iraq]. If we see that this quantity [of operations] is not enough, then we will increase the rate, until they realize their failure and lose their patience. The U.S. administration should know that we are patient, and that we are capable of wearing [them] out. We are perfectly able to do this, we are experienced in this field. This decision of ours is a national decision that cannot be appealed. No person or agreement can change this decision. They should not delude themselves in this regard.

"Today, on this [Jerusalem Day], we know full well that liberating Iraq from the American occupation will bring Jerusalem closer, and make its liberation a matter of certainty. This is our promise to all the free people of the world and to our Palestinian people. The liberation of Iraq from the American occupation is a real step towards liberating Jerusalem from the Zionist occupation."
