Following are excerpts from a January 9, 2014 speech delivered by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, which was posted on the Internet.

Ali Khamenei: Nobody should be under the illusion that those who stood up with all their might against the Islamic Revolution have given up [their enmity] today. No, they are still standing up against it. Any enemy backs down when forced to. If you force them to back down – they will. Nevertheless, they will not back down from their enmity towards us.

This is the case in the world today. We should identify the enemy. The smiles of the enemy must not be taken seriously. We must not get too excited by these smiles. We must not forget the goal.

Today, they think that due to the pressure from the sanctions and economic siege, our nation has raised its hands in surrender. This is a mistake. Indeed, it is. This is a nation that never raises its hands in surrender.

Crowds: Allah Akbar.

Allah Akbar.

Khamenei is the leader.

Death to those who oppose the Rule of the Jurisprudent.

Death to America.

Death to England.

Death to the hypocrites.

Death to Israel.

Ali Khamenei: One of the blessings of the recent negotiations is that the enmity of the U.S. and of the American leaders towards Iran and the Iranians, towards Islam and the Muslims, has become evident. Everybody has realized that.

You hear their statements and speeches. When they cannot take action, they say: "We can't." It's true. They can't. They say: "If we could dismantle, the Iranian nuclear industry, we would, but we can't." Indeed, they can't. Why not? Because of the will of the Iranian nation…

It is we who are complaining about the U.S. and many other Western governments because of their violation of human rights. It is we who are complaining. We are asking them [tough] questions. We grab them by the throat and drag them to the court of international public opinion. They have no answers.

Crowds: Death to America!

Death to America!

Death to America!

Death to America!

Death to America!

Death to America!

Ali Khamenei: The U.S. administration is the greatest violator of human rights in the world.
