Jordanian Researcher Majdi Mamdoh: ISIS Embodies Everything That Is Shameful In Arab-Islamic Heritage – It Was Created By The Americans And Orientalists To Present Islam In A Negative Light

Jordanian researcher Majdi Mamdoh said that the Islamic State (ISIS) as an extension of political Islam, and was created by the Americans and orientalists. He made his remarks in an interview that aired on Sky News Arabia (UAE) on July 30, 2021. Mamdoh explained that orientalists dug up everything that is shameful and negative in Arab-Islamic heritage and turned it into ISIS, so that people will think ISIS represents Islam. He gave the example of "sexual Jihad," saying no one had ever heard of before ISIS.

Majdi Mamdoh: "Political Islam is not only the Muslim Brotherhood. Political Islam, with was created by the West, includes many [organizations], and the last link in this chain was ISIS. I hope that you will not see me as a supporter of conspiracy theories, but it has been proven beyond doubt that ISIS is an American creation, and American politicians have admitted this. It is also a creation of the orientalists...

"I would like to say here that ISIS is a creation of orientalists. The ideas that ISIS brought along with it... No researcher can... Who ever heard of 'sexual Jihad' [before ISIS]? The orientalists search within the Arab-Islamic heritage for all that is negative, shameful, or relates to magic or superstition. They have taken all this, turned it into an organization and threw it in our faces. This is what happened. ISIS is an organization that contains all that is negative. And then people come and say that this is Islam."
