In a February 18, 2025 interview with IRINN TV (Iran), IRGC Aerospace Force Commander General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh emphasized that Iran remains strong and has not been weakened. He assured the interviewer that Operation True Promise III, referring to large-scale missile attacks on Israel, will "definitely" take place at the right moment, as Iran does not want to "waste" the legitimate opportunity to carry it out. He explained that Operation True Promise II in October 2024 was limited to 200 missiles due to pressure from government officials, but the next operation will be on a much larger scale. Hajizadeh also stated that there are "enough American targets" around Iran, and these can be struck with cheap missiles, eliminating the need to launch ICBMs from Iran.
Amir-Ali Hajizadeh: "Iran has certainly not been weakened. Iran is strong. If instead of 150 UAVs, we launch 500 [towards Israel] or even 1,000, what would they be able to do about it? [In the previous attacks], we had limitations, and we even [had to] negotiate how many missiles we could launch. In the last phase of True Promise II, we launched 200 [missiles]."
Interviewer: "In what sense were you limited?"
Hajizadeh: "The [Iranian] officials told us: 'What happened is no big deal.' Let's say that next time, instead of 200, we launch 500, or ever 1,000 [missiles], and we add 1,000 UAVs – what the hell will they be able to do? The Islamic Republic has this capability today, thank God."

Interviewer: "What about True Promise III?"
Hajizadeh: "It will happen, Allah willing, but we will not waste this legitimate opportunity [to attack] easily. Just like True Promise I and II were carried out, True Promise III will definitely be carried out.
"The officials have some predictions in this regard, but we need to take advantage of this, under the right conditions, rather than waste [this operation] for nothing.

"With regard to our nuclear [project] – it's about knowledge, which cannot be destroyed. If they attack us, they will enter a game of war. What will happen next? Is what we will do to them even predictable?

"If the region goes up in flames, and since they cannot estimate the scope and size of that flame – the region will really go up in flames. This is why they are not going in that direction all.

"Nothing will happen. Nobody should worry about a war. Obviously, we do prepare for war in our [military] system. We need to prepare for war so it does not break out – and it won't, because they cannot manage a war.

"The vulnerable [issue] in our country, which might hurt us, is not [connected] to an attack, a war, or anything like that. Our problem is the economy.

"Let me tell you and tell the audience that if we unveil one missile city every week, starting today, it will not finish in two years.

"There are enough American targets around us. These are cheap targets, which means that you can hit them with cheap missiles. We do not need to launch ICBMs from here to hit targets. If they want to threaten us, they need to come closer, come within reach. Otherwise, there is nothing they can do."
