Iraqi Sunni Tribal Leader Sheikh Abdullah Al-Jughaifi: Dignitaries Who Participated In The Erbil Peace Conference Are Worthless Scum – They Should Be Executed

#9101 | 01:23
Source: Al-Ahd TV (Iraq)

Iraqi Sunni tribal leader Sheikh Abdullah Al-Jughaifi said that the dignitaries who participated in the Erbil Peace and Reclamation Conference on September 24 are worthless scum, and demanded that they be executed. He made his remarks in a show that aired on Al-Ahd TV (Iraq) on September 25, 2021. Participants in the Conference for Peace and Reclamation called for establishing peace with Israel and for joining the Abraham Accords. For more information, see MEMRI TV clips Nos. 9092 and 9094.

Sheikh Abdullah Al-Jughaifi: "[The participants in the Erbil peace conference] represent no one but themselves. They do not represent their tribes, their provinces, or their ethnic-religious groups."

[...]

Journalist: "How much weight do these sheikhs and dignitaries carry in the Al-Anbar and other provinces?"

Al-Jughaifi: "I apologize to you, to your other guest, and to the viewers, but these [sheikhs] are scum! Scum! They are worthless. They are viewed as worthless by their own people, so obviously they are worth nothing when they appear on TV. These people are chasing money, nothing else. By Allah, these people are minions, they are mercenaries. No one supports them.

[...]

"We demand that they be executed, in accordance with Iraq's law and constitution. They should be executed according to [Penal Code] law 111. What are we waiting for? Isn't there the death penalty in Iraqi Law? Who is supposed to be executed? Someone who stole some Kleenex? Or someone who stole 1000 dinars because he was hungry? No! The ones who should be executed are those who are the greatest offenders to our nation, our religion, and our country."
