Qais Khazali, commander of Iraqi Shiite militia Asai'b Ahl Al-Haq eulogized Wisam Alyawi, a PMU commander on Al-Ahd TV (Iraq) on October 27, 2019. Alyawi was the Asai'b Ahl Al-Haq commander in the Maysan Province in Iraq and was killed by protesters who accused him of commanding the snipers that had killed some of them. According to some reports, Alyawi and his brother were killed in hospital. According to other reports, they were dragged out of an ambulance and beaten to death. Khazali warned that the PMU will take revenge "four times over" against America and Israel for targeting their headquarters and killing nine members. He elaborated that Israel and America are the "main enemies" and that all PMU headquarters were attacked.

Qais Khazali: Nine PMU members were martyred during the recent fitna. They were killed in several governorates. It was not just one or two martyrs [who were killed]. This should be known. All the headquarters of our factions were targeted. All the headquarters of the factions that participated in thwarting the ISIS project were targeted. These are the factions that participated in thwarting the American-Israeli-Saudi project.

The main enemies are Israel and America. They will also pay the price. Let me reiterate: The blood of the martyrs is for us to avenge and we will do it four times over. We will take revenge four times over on our main enemies, America and Israel.

If, God forbid, there was negligence on the part of people in the PMU, their heads will not remain on their bodies. All Iraqis without exception are being targeted. It is the PMU and the religious authority [Ayatollah Sistani] that prevent this. This is our main defense. This is why the religious authority and the PMU were attacked on Al-Hurra TV. The reason is that this is an American-Israeli project.
