On November 4, 2019, Hamoon TV (Iran) aired a report about Iranian schoolgirls demonstrating in the Sistan and Baluchestan Province on the anniversary of the 1979 takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, which led to the Iran hostage crisis. The girls told the reporter that they are celebrating the takeover of the “spies’ nest,” that it feels good to “punch America in the mouth,” that Iranian students can help annihilate Israel, and that being a student is like being a fighter in the Iran-Iraq War. Holding up signs that read “Down with U.S.A.”, the girls chanted: “Death to America! Death to Israel!”

Following are excerpts:

Crowd of Schoolgirls: Death to America! Death to America! Deeeath to America!

[…]

Reporter: I can see that you are very happy. Why?

Schoolgirl 1: Because today is November 4.

Reporter: What’s so special about November 4?

Schoolgirl 2: The taking over of the spies’ nest.

[…]

Reporter: Tell me how you feel.

Schoolgirl 2: It feels good to come and punch America in the mouth.

Schoolgirl 1: And also, America cannot do anything.

Reporter: I see that you are holding posters.

Schoolgirls: Yes.

Reporter: What important things can good and important students do for us?

Schoolgirl 3: They can help us annihilate Israel.

Reporter: What else?

Schoolgirl 4: We can [all] go to the demonstration.

Reporter: Kids, to what profession is being a student similar?

Schoolgirl 2: To being a fighter in the [Iran-Iraq War of] Holy Defense.

Reporter: So what are you doing now?

Schoolgirl 1: We are sending a slogan to America: America can do nothing to Iran.

Reporter: Have you made a drawing?

Schoolgirl 5: Yes.

Reporter: What is the topic of your drawing?

Schoolgirl 5: It is a drawing of the American flag we kicked.

Reporter: Let me see your drawing. Excellent!

Crowd of Schoolgirls: Death to Israel! Death to America! Death to America! Death to Israel! Death to Israel!
