Following are excerpts from an interview with a young Palestinian child, aired on Iqra TV on December 7, 2005.
Palestinian child: In 1948 the Jews occupied our land, our country. They drove us out of our homes, and put us in tents. Then they would destroy our homes. They'd put our clothes out on the sand, and then demolish the homes. They would get them out, destroy their homes, demolish and bring them down.

Since 1948, they have wanted to occupy our lands, right? They occupied Gaza, Holland, Ramallah, Jenin, Jericho, Nablus, Amman, Haifa, Jaffa, and Acre, right? They occupied all these countries. They didn't leave a thing. They fire gas. The gas, of course, is very big, and fire comes out of it, or something big comes out of it, and a bomb explodes. Or, when they fire missiles, people hide in their homes, because if the missile hits – poof, the house is destroyed. They hide in a hurry, right? That's why. I'm hiding, but I'm not scared.
Interviewer: If you're hiding, you're scared, aren't you?
Child: I'm not hiding, I'm staying here. I stay, as usual, and watch TV to see what place was bombed.
Interviewer: Why did they do that to Muhammad Al-Dura?
Child: Because they are Jews, villains, dogs. You see? That's why. They shouldn't do that, because it's called killing. They shouldn't do this. We are not their friends. They shouldn't do this. We are Palestinians, and they are Jews. They should not shoot people.
Interviewer: Is it possible that we will reconcile with them one day, and there will be peace between us?
Child: No.
Interviewer: Don't we want peace with them?
Child: We don't want anything. We don't want anyone, not the Jews... We want to live in security, see? We don't want Jews, thieves, or villains.
I don't like hearing such news. It makes me very sad, because the martyrs die. It's no joke, they die for real, by live bullets or rubber bullets, see? Rubber bullets have iron inside them. If a rubber bullet hits somebody, like that, he might...
Interviewer: Do you want this war to continue or stop?
Child: I want it to stop. I don't want war or anything.
Interviewer: Why?
Child: Because if the war continues, and there is a big battle, the Jews... The Jews - we will drive them out of their homes. We will do it to the Jews. What they did to us we will do to them.
