Hizbullah Secretary-General Nasrallah Threatens to Attack Israel's Nuclear, Petrochemical, and Biological Facilities in a Future War

Source: Mayadeen TV (Lebanon)

In a March 21 interview with Al-Mayadeen TV, Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah said that if Israel attacked Lebanon's cities and infrastructure, Hizbullah would wage an "all-out war that will know no boundaries or red lines," including the bombing of "petrochemical plants, biological research institutes, centers, and plants, nuclear plants - not just one - installations for the disposal of nuclear waste, and storage facilities for nuclear warheads," most of which were "located either within cities or in their vicinity."

Following are excerpts

Hassan Nasrallah: Either [Israel] has international and Arab guarantees – and sadly, it's possible that it has such Arab guarantees - or that else it trusts that the Arab regimes will not target it with real missiles. Thus, it has built many petrochemical plants, biological research institutes, centers, and plants, nuclear plants - not just one - installations for the disposal of nuclear waste, and storage facilities for nuclear warheads and so on. Most of these plants, institutes, and installations are located either within cities or in their vicinity. Either within cities or in their vicinity.

I'm referring, for example, to an installation that is 10-15 kilometers from Ashdod, or to one that is 20-25 kilometers from Tel Aviv. In some cases, they are right next to cities, only one or two kilometers away. These are targets... If Israel bombs our cities and destroys our infrastructure, we have the natural, legitimate, and legal right - by any standard - to strike any target in occupied Palestine, in order to deter the enemy or to make it stop the aggression.

Fine. Let's assume that we struck these targets. What will happen? [Israel] talks about Lebanon regressing 50 years back in time. What will happen to this entity? What will happen to its people, if we are talking about this type of plant, center, or installation? This could happen even inadvertently. When these centers and installations are situated within cities, and when we have the right to bomb these cities to retaliate against the bombing of our cities - what might happen? Israel should take this into consideration.

We have a whole list of targets. We are not talking about general speculation. We have an entire list of them - plants, installations, storage facilities, and centers, along with their locations and their precise coordinates. [Israel] is relying upon the Iron Dome and the David's Sling systems, but they will be to no avail. They will have only limited influence.

In any war that targets Lebanon, its people, or its infrastructure - we will wage an all-out war that will know no boundaries or red lines.
