Head of Hamas Diaspora Office Khaled Mash'al said that those who normalize relations with Israel have lost their conscience and their sensibility. He made these remarks in an interview that aired on Al-Aqsa TV (Hamas-Gaza) on April 26, 2021. Mash'al said that they are "worthless scum," and they are not considered part of the Islamic nation. "To hell with them," he said.

Khaled Mash'al: "We do not pin our hopes on getting our message across to those who normalize [relations with Israel]. These people lost their conscience and their sensibility. These people congratulate the Zionist entity on the occasion of its independence. To hell with them! From whom did Israel gain its independence? Who occupied whom? We do not send a message to these people. They are worthless scum. We do not take these people into account anymore. We do not consider them to be a part of our [Islamic] nation."
