Hassan Rahimpur Azghdai, Member of Iranian Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, in a Lecture in Demark: Christian Morality Dissolved in the Acid of Capitalism and Secularism

Following are excerpts from a public address delivered by Hassan Rahimpur Azghadi, member of the Iranian Supreme Council for Cultural Revolution, on Channel 1, Iranian TV on August 22, 2006:

Hassan Rahimpur Azghadi: Christian morality and the asceticism of Jesus Christ have been dissolved in the acid of capitalism and secularism. They have been dissolved in the acid of capitalism and secularism. If Jesus Christ were to appear today in the heart of Europe, rather than in the Middle East or Palestine, wouldn't they crucify him again in Europe? Does Jesus support the culture dominating Europe and America today, or does he oppose it? A while ago, a certain church in England officially allowed a same-sex marriage, and the priest joined two men in matrimony.

How many times have they, in Europe, made films and written novels, which insulted Jesus and the Holy Mary, whereas - as one of our friends mentioned earlier - they do not allow any question about the Holocaust? Yet they have no problem insulting the divine prophets. Nevertheless, we do not deny the Holocaust. We do not deny the Holocaust. Anybody who committed any crime should be held accountable. If Hitler and the Nazis, committed a crime, they should be held accountable, and the same goes for anybody else. But I ask: What crimes did Hitler and the Fascists perpetrate that the Zionists are not perpetrating today? After all, a holocaust is now taking place in Palestine.

Mohammad had such high morals that one day, while walking down a street where a Jew used to throw dirt and garbage at him, he saw that the Jew was not there to throw garbage at him, so he asked: "Where is my friend?" He was told that the Jew was sick, so he went to visit him. He said to him: "You did not throw dirt and garbage at me today. Where were you?"

What violence and terrorism are you talking about? It should be made clear that if fundamentalism or terrorism exist, they are a reaction to the colonialistic militarism of the West in the Islamic world, from the 18th century until today. European armies occupied all of North and South America and Africa, in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, and divided them among themselves. Then they came to the Islamic world in North Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. It is only natural that the Muslims act in accordance with their religious duty, just as you would defend your homes if they were occupied. Why do we call resistance "terrorism"? When Hitler and the Fascists rolled Europe in blood and dust - would your forefathers be called terrorists if they conducted resistance?
