Osama Hamdan, Hamas' representative in Lebanon, denied in a September 2, 2020 interview on Mayadeen TV (Lebanon) that that there is any problem in the relations between Hamas and Hizbullah. He said that the two organizations maintain deep and strategic relations that cannot be ended or be reduced by an "incident here or there."

Osama Hamdan: "Some people have tried to claim that there is a problem between Hamas and Hizbullah. We have said time and again that these are deep and strategic relations, which have lasted for 30 years, and they cannot end or even be reduced because of an incident here or there. No matter what happens we and Hizbullah understand the importance and strategic nature of these relations, and we have preserved them."

Interviewer: "So these relations were never severed?"

Hamdan: "Never."
