Founder of a Qatari TV Station: One Minute on TV Can Ruin 20 Years of Education

#539 | 01:01
Source: Qatar TV

The following are excerpts from a lecture by Sheik Wajdi Al-Razawi, founder and director of Al-Fajr TV:

I want to say to every Muslim, to every reasonable person, every father, and every mother, that they should know one truth: A single minute on television, which is both powerfully produced and contains an evil message, can ruin ten years of upbringing. This is no exaggeration. You can educate your daughter to be virtuous and modest. You can raise her for twenty years according to these principals. Her mother can be a woman of good virtue: modest, always praying and wearing a veil, who, for twenty years, raised her daughter to be virtuous. One scene, in one movie, one minute long might ruin this education completely, because the soul, unfortunately, is inclined toward lust.
