Former Jordanian MP in Praise of Trump: I Tip My Hat to a Ruler Who Works for His People

Former Jordanian MP Nidal Hiyari called U.S. President Trump a "reasonable man" and an "intellectual," who "will achieve for the American people what his predecessor could not." Comparing this to the Arabs, who "look only at the here and now" and "do not think about the future," he said that Trump and Hillary Clinton "are all working on agendas for the next 100 years." Speaking on the Jordanian ANB TV channel on February 18, Hiyari said: "I tip my hat to a ruler who works for his people."

Nidal Hiyari: As we know, a new American president has come to power. Trump has become U.S. President. What will his policy in the Middle East be? We don't know. But as my colleague commented - and I respect what he said - everybody says: "He's crazy, and Hillary Clinton..." Man, Hillary Clinton and all those people are working on a plan for the next 100 years. Trump, Hillary, or whoever... They are all working on agendas for the next 100 years, and these plans are studied by Congress. We, on the other hand, look only at the here and now. We do not think about the future, and that is our problem. When Trump speaks, in an effort to win over more supporters,  he says: I care about America, I don't want to give foreign aid, America comes first. Now the rule has been restored to the people, he says.

This is a reasonable man. I consider him to be an intellectual. Forget what you hear from people in the streets and in political salons. I don't care about all that. What I do care about is that we are about to feel that this man really is President of America, and that he will achieve for the American people what his predecessor could not. He doesn't care about other peoples. Every country has its own ruler. It is the ruler who provides the people with security and livelihood. So I tip my hat to a ruler who works for his people.

Even in the Zionist entity, when Netanyahu defends Israel and its people - why do we complain about them? On the contrary. The Israeli people was persecuted all over the world. They used to work in services, in cleaning, and stuff like that. Today, they control the world, because they use their brains.

We Arabs, on the other hand, continue to crush one another, and we do not look far into the future. We are killing ourselves all by ourselves, I'm sad to say. We, the Arab people, know very well what goes on around us. Our problem is that we go to war and do not care whether we win or lose. We do not study what went wrong and what went right in the war, in order to draw lessons for the future. No. We forget in an instant.
